I am an accidental matchmaker. It started as a joke to get my cousin married and we created a community where people met and got married. I have learned a lot about the pressures unmarried people currently face from that community. I just saw the TV show “You saved me” and 💡!!
As Africans, we leave the whole marriage thing to churches and other religious or traditional communities then complain later when those communities impose their ancient values which are unfavorable to one gender. I believe in marriage and I believe it saved me too but how? Why?
I met someone who was so different from myself culturally and religiously at a time when I had given up totally on marriage as a 40 year old. I discovered what I didn’t see because of all the blinds that cover how we perceive each other in our traditional communities.

I won't shame someone who is underage for being interested in kink. Hell, I won't shame them for poking around NSFW Twitter, or reading erotica, or watching porn. I get it. Like I REALLY get it. I was there. I was interested from a young age. BUT, here's the thing...
If you're underage & insisting your involvement in certain fetishes (such as DDLG) is "safe" or "not kink" or "not BDSM" because you don't sexualize it, your ignorance is showing in a VERY dangerous way.
If you're underage and creating sexualized audios, photos, and writing, you're endangering yourself and ANY ADULT that interacts with you. Age is not immediately apparent if something pops up on your TL or under a hashtag.

Over the last many years I’ve gotten asked “what to do” when harassed. I will write something longer on this when I get a minute, but let me 1st help you think through a decision tree. This is going to be ruthless, as opposed to matching my beliefs about how th world should work.
This advice is also going to be VICTIM CENTERED. This means that I am NOT putting the burden of bringing perpetrators to justice on victims. That is the fundamental flaw of our current system.
We can talk about bringing perps to justice in a WHOLE OTHER THREAD someday. But please, STOP making victims do all this work because you feel bad about the perp in your department.
