“The entire animal kingdom, including avian and aquatic, are declared legal entities having a distinct persona with corresponding rights, duties and liabilities of a living person."
The Order further states,

"All citizens throughout Haryana are hereby declared persons in loco parentis (responsible for a child in parents’ absence) as the human face for the welfare/protection of animals.”

Today, the Supreme Court decided FMI v. Argus Leader Media, a case that may have an outsize impact on public understanding of private services and technologies used by the government to perform official functions.

Here’s a quick explanation of why. /1

The case was about the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), which entitles members of the public to ask federal agencies for their records. The agencies have to turn requested records over unless they fall within an “exemption” to FOIA. /2
One of the exemptions — Exemption 4 — allows agencies to refuse to turn over “confidential” commercial information. The FMI case was about when a record turned over to the government by a private company is “confidential” for purposes of Exemption 4. /3

The 14th amdt turns 150 years old this year on July 9. It is the closest we’ve come to writing into the constitution what we claimed in the Declaration of Independence. If you’re forced to pick one, choose the 14th - above the 1st, the 2nd, or the FIF. Sorry Dave Chappelle.

Have been constantly telling Scheme ≠ Board. Supreme Court clarifies the same; it isn't rocket science anyway! Alas, who should/will take the correct interpretation of the Supreme Court judgement to the people of TN?
Firstly, Supreme Court didn't order #CauveryManagementBoard be set up in 6 weeks, it is absolutely incorrect. Supreme Court commanded a Scheme to be framed in 6-week period. Media/Parties that are supposed to be neutral rather carried a vicious campaign misinterpreting the Order.
What is a "Scheme" & why is it needed? To unearth Constitutional constraints in setting up #CauveryManagementBoard & to clarify the perplexities & create a complete system in place that'll have perpetual succession irrespective of whichever Govt. is in place in the states/centre.
