I understand @BrianSciaretta's take on this (the USYNT has capped these kids repeatedly at multiple age levels) as well as Belz's (in the new social media era we have to recruit every single dual national – take nothing for granted). They both make good points.
But the overall point, as I see it: Shouldn't the #USMNT GM (or someone in the program) be checking in with our best players at all age groups on the regular as a matter of course? Shouldn't that be part of the job description?
Email: "Hey Julian, Earnie here. Great performance vs. LAFC – we like what we're seeing from you. Here's where we see you fitting in the future, and here's what we want you to work on. We'll check in again soon."
This shouldn't be just for dual-nationals, mind you. This should be for pretty much all the top talents in the pool (current and upcoming), right? If the goal is to create a unified on-field identity, isn't this an easy way to go about it?
Exactly. This is just best practices for creating a holistic on-field identity, right?

For example, this is exactly what RBNY have done from the first team all the way down to their youngest academy groups. Why... why isn't the #USMNT doing this?
Every #USYNT player should have an IEP.
