New: Emerging clues about Jeffrey Epstein's opaque finances show how tens of millions of dollars moved through @jpmorgan, @DeutscheBank and Les Wexner's charity. with @emilysteel @MattGoldstein26 @SteveEder nytimes.com/2019/08/11/bus…
@jpmorgan @DeutscheBank @emilysteel @MattGoldstein26 @SteveEder We’ve spent weeks digging into Epstein’s mysterious financial affairs. Untangling them could be crucial to figuring out whether he had accomplices and whether/how his remaining assets will be distributed, including to his many victims.

We found some weird stuff....
@jpmorgan @DeutscheBank @emilysteel @MattGoldstein26 @SteveEder When Les Wexner - the billionaire owner of @VictoriasSecret - discovered that Epstein had misappropriated "vast sums," he didn't contact law enforcement. And four years after Wexner has said he cut ties with Epstein, $56 mln went from an Epstein trust to Wexner's charity. Why?
@jpmorgan @DeutscheBank @emilysteel @MattGoldstein26 @SteveEder @VictoriasSecret Wexner's camp won't comment on why he didnt contact law enforcement. As for the $56M transfer, his spokesman says this but won't elaborate:
@jpmorgan @DeutscheBank @emilysteel @MattGoldstein26 @SteveEder @VictoriasSecret Our reporting also found that @DeutscheBank, which is handing over transaction data to federal authorities, has uncovered signs that Epstein used his dozens of accounts accounts for sex trafficking and possibly other illegal activity. @jpmorgan is still doing an internal review.
