Last night I saw the StanleyIsWhite (now suspended) tweet, and it so offended me that again I had to reply. But it still bugs me that in 140 characters I can not express my outrage that the 'Right' can claim the War as theirs, as their political argument....
... and that the war's effect on my Grandfather directly resulted in him becoming a Quaker, who's principles of honesty and inclusion are so now ingrained in our upbringing. The idea that people in the military are right wing and as a liberal pacifist I can't be supportive..
... of the military - when I have four uncles who all are ex-service. Two grandfathers. Great grandfathers (one of who died of wounds received). I have friends who serve, for this proud nation, foreign friends who serve, and none of them should be used as cheap political pawns.
