Dropping a rescue off for surgery is the hardest thing.

That moment when they take the collar off and he’s certain you’re leaving him for good and he tries to crawl into your lap and starts whimpering. 💔

I’ll just be over here crying for the rest of the day. 😭
Update: Foxx’s surgery went fairly well but he’s got to stay overnight for observation. I made the vet promise to release him first thing when they open at 7:30am tomorrow.

Back in January the GOP steering committee stripped Steve King of his committee assignments but the House efforts to censure him formally fizzled.

Iowa law doesn’t allow for recall elections so voters can’t take remove him from his seat, but Congress can

Unfortunately, King’s history of racist, sexist comments doesn’t meet any set precedent for expulsion.

20 members of Congress have been expelled in US history. 17 of those were expelled for joining the Confederacy.

Others were directly implicated in or charged with crimes.

I’ve been wondering this for a long long time but why does every fancy house in Utah look like an Olive Garden?

It’s like they went in for bottomless breadsticks and decided to never ever leave.
The general style is somewhere between Tuscan and Craftsman that somehow manages to come off as Olive Garden. Every. Damn. Time.
I feel like knocking on the door and asking to be seated.

Didn’t really need sleep for awhile anyway. JFC.

Hardest thing for me to grasp about the whole thing.

How do they not realize they are doing the bidding of tech authoritarian billionaires, the Hollywood 'elite', multinational news organizations, massive corporations, foreign adversaries, etc. The conditioning must be STRONG.
I wasn't even paying attention when Donald Trump decided to run.

Thought he was a joke candidate to hand the election to Hillary. The typical two party masquerade. I was detached from politics completely.

And then I saw the world lose their collective minds when Trump won.
I saw that there was an obvious shift of power & the usual powers that be were NOT happy about it. The rhetoric/censorship/propaganda was cranked to 11. Comedy/entertaiment is trash now & the internet has changed vastly since DJT's win. I knew America had selected the right guy

Thread: Had to explain to someone why neutering a cat before they breed is ethical and outweighs the other possible end result of letting them repeatedly breed, then watching authorities horrifically poison all with strychnine. 🙈 and people wonder why I prefer animals.
I’m lucky. Where I live, thanks to a few hard workers, the cat population is pretty much controlled. But that’s thanks to hard work and effort of people that care. It doesn’t just happen. Others take that for granted.
Red Sea resorts like Hurghada, Sharm and Dahab are over run with cats and there’s consistent poisoning. There’s no change. It’s horrific to watch. It’s dangerous to humans and it’s so unnecessary. El Gouna is a humane, ethical city and long may that continue.
