I’ve been wondering this for a long long time but why does every fancy house in Utah look like an Olive Garden?

It’s like they went in for bottomless breadsticks and decided to never ever leave.
The general style is somewhere between Tuscan and Craftsman that somehow manages to come off as Olive Garden. Every. Damn. Time.
I feel like knocking on the door and asking to be seated.

“Table big enough to seat the entire celestial family. Kay thanks.”
I suppose when you’re in Utah, you’re family. 😂

Back in January the GOP steering committee stripped Steve King of his committee assignments but the House efforts to censure him formally fizzled.

Iowa law doesn’t allow for recall elections so voters can’t take remove him from his seat, but Congress can

Unfortunately, King’s history of racist, sexist comments doesn’t meet any set precedent for expulsion.

20 members of Congress have been expelled in US history. 17 of those were expelled for joining the Confederacy.

Others were directly implicated in or charged with crimes.

Dropping a rescue off for surgery is the hardest thing.

That moment when they take the collar off and he’s certain you’re leaving him for good and he tries to crawl into your lap and starts whimpering. 💔

I’ll just be over here crying for the rest of the day. 😭
Update: Foxx’s surgery went fairly well but he’s got to stay overnight for observation. I made the vet promise to release him first thing when they open at 7:30am tomorrow.

She missed him so much she went to sleep with his collar clutched in her hands. 😢

The Evidence Obtained Outside Cameras will not show any evidence of ‘tempering’ but other than license plates of dozens of diplomatic cars (Many with tinted windows-large trunks) with related time stamp, drivers Info, model/year: Nothing.
#Turkish Intel-Investigative Bodies also have the list of all Diplomatic & Private Saudi & “other significant’ Planes in #Turkey for the period of ‘interest.’ Many of the Target airports have their own security cameras & related evidence.

back to morven farm for day two of the city council planning retreat. this event is “open to the public,” but is 20 minutes outside of town, GPS to the address takes you to the wrong gate, the number on their site is dead, & you have to give your name to a gatekeeper. “open” huh?
civic engagement starter pack: notebook, pen, external battery, snacks. not pictured: steely resolve to make it through the whole damn day.
the false entrance is blocked off with cones this morning and the gatekeeper only asked if i was “a citizen,” not for my name. i can’t help but feel like these changes are a response to my furious call to city hall yesterday.
