This position is sadly consistent with @Natures_Voice’s long-term uselessness on the grouse issue. It is not as if we are short of evidence or don’t know what needs to be done.

And if this review does happen to conclude that there might be something a tiny bit wrong with driven grouse shooting, the most the RSPB proposes is to license it.
This licensing nonsense undermines and confuses the much more popular campaign to BAN driven grouse shooting. I know @Natures_Voice is sincere, but if this were a distract-and-delay campaign run by Lynton Crosby on behalf of the grouse shooters, he couldn’t have done it better.
It's because the RSPB fails on such issues that people like @MarkAvery, @RuthTingay and @ChrisGPackham have had to step up and fill the gap. These three are currently achieving more legislative change than the RSPB is managing, with its million members and large staff.
At the moment, @Natures_Voice is little more than a bat squeak. Could we please see some leadership, and some guts?
We might ask why its former conservation director, @MarkAvery, has been able to do all the things @Natures_Voice (the RSPB) should be doing – only *after* leaving the organisation.
