DC District Court Chief Judge Beryl Howell decision in Don McGahn case was nominated by President Obama and unanimously confirmed by Senate in 2010 by voice vote.
House Judiciary Top Republican Collins: “I applaud Chief Judge Howell’s decision today. As the Chief Judge found, Chairman Nadler’s pending cases involve distinct issues of law and fact and should not be combined.”
Collins: “Democrats have not begun impeachment inquiry against the President. Until the full House votes to authorize such an inquiry,that status will not indeed, cannot change..these 2 lawsuits are separate & distinct from each other, as Chief Judge Howell’s ruling makes clear."
