3/ For the entirety of my political career, @RichardCaronCPC would text me from time to time on policy. Sometimes we would agree, sometimes we wouldn’t. We always had really good conversations. A few months ago though, Richard texted me with a firm tone.....
4/ @RichardCaronCPC said...”Michelle, I’ve got two young kids, I’m a chef at a restaurant. My wife works as a flight attendant. Our taxes keep going up, the cost of living keeps going up, and it’s hard to make ends meet. What are you going to do to fix it?”
5/ I replied back to @RichardCaronCPC with a bunch our policies, and then said, “ok Richard, what are YOU going to do to help YOUR community and help us bring change?” He replied with “I guess I have to run for office”. And he did.
6/ People like @RichardCaronCPC are who we need in Ottawa - hardworking, talented Canadians who have worked hard to earn a living and get how important affordability is, and are committed to achieving that without massive tax increases and deficits.
