Ken Clark - when at university in 1961 invited Oswald Mosley the founder of the British Union of Fascists to speak to the Conservative Association. This caused Michael Howard and other Jewish students to resign from the Association.
He was behind the purchaser provider split in the NHS which brought in changes that doubled the administration costs of running the service and has left the service with many of the problems experienced today.
As President of Cambridge Students Union he disagreed with women being allowed into the Union "The fact that Oxford has admitted them does not impress me at all. Cambridge should wait a year to see what happens before any decision is taken on admitting them."

If you are a WASPI woman it was Ken Clarke who announced the changes in 1993. To be fair the original plan was supposed to be phased in far more gradually than it has been. The decision to accelerate this was made by the Tories in 2011 aided by their Lib Dem friends.
