First, I'll say this, when people do not buy from you, it is because of certain objections in their mind and here are the 5 major ones:

1. No money (price, the most common of all)

2. Not urgent

3. Not for me

4. No trust

5. Not you (I have another source)
Every time you step out to sell, these objections are already there waiting for you like a wall of Jericho

You have to overcome them to get the customer

In reality, these objections are basically perceptions.

They are not always the reality, but a state of mind.

1. They don't need/want your product.

This is singularly the biggest reason.

It's tempting to try to sell to everyone, but in reality,

"Everyone is not your customer"
It's like trying to force lion to eat grass,

or

trying to teach a rat to fly.

This happens when you target the wrong audience.

Even if your product is top-notch, as long as you continue to target the wrong audience, you will face frustration.
2. They Don't Trust You...

...Because they don't know you!

People buy from who they trust.

The formula is K.L.T.

They have to

know you,

like you and

Trust you to buy from you.
Who would you rather buy from, a complete stranger you never heard of, or a close friend selling similar product?

Now you get the gist.

They don't trust you enough.

3. They Don't Believe You!

Selling is An Art of believability.

A game of perception.

Until people believe in you and what you offer, they will not pull out their credit card.

People buy into what they believe.
Believability is not a function of product or service.

Many people make this mistake and ignore this fact.

Believability is actually a function of the next point:
4. You Don't Believe In Yourself, and Your Product.

You may think this isn't important, but this is the core of every successful business or salesmanship.

If you do not believe in yourself or your product, it will show!!!

People will sense it.
People will see through your lack of faith and immediately lose confidence in you.

If you believe in yourself and your product, you will declare it without fear.

But this isn't easy, you know why?
It's easier for people to believe in someone else's product than to believe in theirs.

Why?

Because "Believing in yourself, and declaring it, requires courage."

It will force you to stand for something.

It will put you on the spot.
It will make you known for something and many people are cowards they just want to hide.

Look at men like

They believe so much in themselves and their products that they put their name behind it.
They don't cower under pressure.

I have spent time on this point because, this is very important to your success.

People will not buy from you if they sense you are not enthusiastic about your product or you don't believe in it.

So believe in yourself.
5. Your Offer Is Weak... No, Wack.

People are always going to ask: WIIFM?

That means, What's In It For Me?

If they do not find it satisfying enough, they won't buy.

Nobody owes you money.

In fact, people actually think they are entitled to your offer. You must catch them/
within their selfish interests.

You must create something that will give them a reason to give you money.

Just do like Don Corleone in the Godfather:

"Make them an offer they cannot refuse"
6. Your Message is Wack (or weak)

Imagine this scenario, an award-winning Harvard professor of physics walks into a room filled with guests.

For the next 20 minutes, he gives a speech explaining his research on quantum physics.
His speech is the exact speech he gave at the United Nations.

It actually earned him the award.

Powerful speech.

After the speech is over, the camerà slowly pans and focuses on the audience only to reveal that he had been speaking to Primary school children.
You can rightly guess that kids will be so confused listening to his speech.

I bet they'll even sleep off.

You see,

It's not really what you say, but

You can learn it.

7. You Are Begging, Not actually Selling.

In other words, you don't know how to use the 'call to action'

Selling is a game of control.

Both you the seller, and the buyer, are trying to have control over the sale.

This is what happens when people negotiate.
If people find a hole in your sales system, they will exploit it.

That is why you should make your case tight.

You should find the chink in the buyer's armour and Pierce through it.
If your product is good enough to change people's lives and solve their problems, you should not beg them to buy.

They ain't doing you a favour.

You are both exchanging value.

Their money for your solution.
This doesn't mean you should be cocky

It means understand your value
