Well another day another piece of propaganda. Note the use of language here in preparation for a wholly UNDEMOCRATIC attempt at railroading is into a no-deal scenario.
On the back of the revelations of the government’s no-deal planning (Yellowhammer) which government are now denying, I wouldn’t be too trusting of anything these people in government are saying.
What keeps getting lost in the discussions because they don’t want to answer it, is this central question. If Brexit is so flipping great and such a wonderful idea why are we making contingency plans for killing sheep and cows and giving money to keep businesses afloat?
WHY are we stockpiling and frightening our citizens and residents and the sick who depend on medicines? What is Brexit for?
Food won’t be cheaper it will be more expensive. Our exporters will be uncompetitive in the EU. Who’s going to buy the lamb? New Zealand, Australia ?
Jobs won’t be more plentiful (unless perhaps you are an international trade negotiator or a lawyer) - employers have already started moving OUT!
And there won’t be an end to it. The pain will go on and on as the jobs and opportunities drip away.
Jobs won’t be any better paid. There is no evidence being presented that this will happen. If there were the brexiters would have been going on about it for 3 years! In fact Johnson tells the EU in his latest letter that our interests will diverge from the world class standards
There won’t be any new houses - same reason. As far as I can see local authorities are making contingency plans for rationing not building plans to increase the housing stock.
Business security will not be improved, any kind of brexit leaves the question of future relationships open for 10 years or more as some kind of new trading environment emerges painfully from the brexit ground zero. There will be little clarity only endless rounds of negotiating.
What is brexit for? MPs please do not let this happen. You have a duty to answer the question
WHAT IS BREXIT FOR?
If you can’t come up with an answer which is a positive and absolutely in the best interests of your constituents you are failing in your duty by letting it happen
Stand with us. Help us fight this undemocratic Government. Why would they be organising for these risks if they were not real risks. Wake up and listen to what they aren’t telling you and help us.

Nobody is going to come and save us unless we save ourselves. We can all be the heroes that stop this damage to our country.
Boris Johnson et al are responsible for having wasted the last three years on the massive folly of brexit. Would a child be on the floor if the country’s energy and money had been put into solving problems instead? /start #GeneralElection19
They told you they would have more money for the NHS. They lied then, they are lying now. We will continue haemorrhaging money on stupid brexit unicorns, negotiating them, duplicating what we already have, chasing a fantasy and losing our standing in the world! #stopbrexit
At the same time we will lose trade and growth and we will lose people, lots of people, expert people, smart people, caring people, interesting people, and be left with uncaring self interested power hungry brexit politico bots in power. #VoteNotTory#Braindrain
I have always maintained that it will be a slow decline in our industry base which will cause the real longer term problems. You cannot remove competitiveness from big employers and not expect a reaction then this leads to knock on effects in SMEs too. /thread #SundayThoughts
The way business makes decisions going forward will be affected by our country status and costs and friction in supply lines and the path of least resistance to get to their market. #stopbrexit
So every decision on leases on plant or property, renewal of financing, change in conditions, new member country regulations over which we have had no say as a third country, may not mean loss of British jobs automatically but makes us very vulnerable in any new considerations
In 4 years we have had 3 prime ministers and 2 elections. If Johnson gets his way we would have 4 prime ministers and 3 elections. There have been 4 votes on some kind of #Brexit deal - all FAILED to pass /THREAD.
Yet politicians consistently refuse us a #PeoplesVote comparing the type of Brexit they want to impose against the deal we have - EU membership.
3.5 years after the advisory crooked lying cheating referendum, parliament cannot make its mind up on what is an acceptable #brexit for the country. You have taken up enough time and money on this nonsense. #voteleavebrokethelaw
On the 19th October 2019 we travelled from Cheshire on trains coaches and automobiles for a #PeopleVoteMarch to demand a chance to have a say on this #brexitshambles which threatens our jobs, our families, our rights and freedoms /thread
We had a little song song on the way to pass the time on the road #singingtoremain
We assembled before joining the march. As we walked through the streets of our capital city we were cheered and smiled at and given the thumbs up. #FinalSay
Whilst these things are rarely simple, a profits warning in May clearly cites #Brexit and the problems that made in environment as a big factor. Very sad day for the owners, employees here and overseas, the hotels and supply chains.#ThomasCookcollapse
Here in #Cheshire we need to realise that a move or shut down of some of our substantial local automotive industry thanks to bad #brexit trading conditions will leave thousands of our friends and neighbours in similar disarray. #StopBrexit#ThomasCook
We don’t want to be sitting watching a corporate tragedy unfolding on our doorsteps watched by the country as our jobs are frittered and gambled away on an extraordinary act of national self harm. Real people have to pay the price for this madness #remain#ThomasCookcollapse
Some of our members turned to the demo organised by People’s Assembly tonight in order to support our local MP @ChrisM4Chester. Apparently it was a success overall. However I am told one of the other speakers made some incorrect statements about us, Chester for Europe /thread
1. We are not affiliated to any political party. We have members and key organisers who are members or supporters of Labour, Lib Dems, Green Party and yes even Conservatives. There is a big number of us who are not members of any party and have no intention of being.
We are ordinary members of the community who have been driven to political activism in many cases for the first time in our lives by the disgust and anger we feel at the direction the country has gone in. We are the people too and we will express our will too.
