The second sentence is untrue (there is certainly no evidence to support it, and much evidence of no coherent U.K. proposal to replace the agreed backstop). See eg . The third sentence is untrue.
The next few sentences on the Bill ignore the ability of Parliament to deal with any outrageous EU condition by allowing a crash out in those circumstances (by further emergency legislation if needed).

@TheBMA here raises an important point about medicines regulation in the longer term after Brexit.
The point is here. If the final relationship takes the U.K. outside the EU medicines regime, then it will need a separate system of regulatory approval.
Regulatory approval for medicines is (rightly) very expensive for applicants. It involves thorough checking of extensive test and trial data so as to ensure that medicines are safe, effective, and if good quality.

This is quite some take down of a serving Cabinet Minister - the egregious Mogg - by the Chief Medical Officer. Good for her: exactly what she should have done.

So, here I am. I've only gone & done it!! 🥁 This week I put a deposit down on my first EV. 🚗🍾 In my heart I've long hoped of owning one but, yes, I made all of the counterarguements against recent EV options. So what changed?! Hang on to that thought.
I seen the early EV models & was underwhelmed. I craved more. More aesthetics. More choice. More infastructure. More range. More money...they were not quite making the economic case for a purchase. In short, they came up erm, 'short'. But I knew it'd only get better...
I wasn't really sure exactly when, who or even what, would be the catalyst for their mass market appeal. I suspected the ICE generation would largely reject them outright. I pinned my hopes on government intervention. They will play their part, that descisive action will come...

14th Amendment was meant for freed slaves but came to include immigrant children, especially after U.S. v. Won Kim Ark (1898). An executive order, as opposed to a new law, is probably insufficient to limit the Citizenship Clause. Even then, it would be appealed to SCOTUS.
Won Kim Ark parents were permanently domiciled, so it's not clear that children of "illegal immigrants," who aren't permanently domiciled (e.g. green card holders) are absolutely protected. In the end, the Court would have to decide this issue in a new case probably.
Anyone reporting Trump's proposed order would "end birthright citizenship" is wrong: he's targeting it for undocumented immigrants.

My own summary of Stephen's main scientific contributions:
1) Penrose-Hawking singularity theorems, 2) Black hole thermodynamics (Hawking and Bekenstein) 3) Wave function of the universe (Hawking and Hartle)
1) Roger Penrose showed that Einstein's GR ensured that there would be singularities (regions of infinite density) once certain conditions were met - black holes really form. Stephen showed this was also true of the Big Bang, there was no way of avoiding an initial singularity
(That applies, of course, in "classical" GR. In quantum gravity - the theory we still don't have - we expect to avoid actual infinities, and replace them with weird Planck quantum foam thingies. I think.)
