Warren getting some attn for this line rebutting the attacks from R’s

When Warren was in rural Iowa last month, a farmer (who was progressive) complained to her about the Green New Deal for getting rid of cows. The AOC FAQ sheet had broken through so she’s been hearing this. The RNC/Trump re-elect seized on the moment too.
Trump War Room clips just the first part of the answer but doesn’t include the full thing.
Kamala answer on straws earlier fwiw which also drew R scoffing and a tweet from Trump 2020 campaign manager linking to their plastic straws for sale.

NEW: Behind the scenes, the warren campaign is building all tv/digital/graphic production in-house (+ all digital ad-buying.
campaign tells me it won’t pay commissions to media consultants for primary/general.

Combined w/ the no fundraisers, no outside pollster, and the early investment in staff instead of stockpiling resources for the usual TV ad blitz at the end, the in-house media moves are a rebuke of and an attempt to disrupt the consultant-heavy campaign model.
Some media consultants see this as purity politics gone awry and, perhaps unsurprisingly, see the campaign needlessly shunning expertise.

A 27 year old doctoral candidate from Northwestern University - scientists at Exxon knew 40 years ago fossil fuels would destabilize the planet. Their trade/industry orgs have waged a decades long campaign of lying to public about the science and now it threatens the human race.
Biden signed no fossil fuel money pledge,but "how can Biden be trusted to hold them accountable for crimes against humanity when tomorrow you are holding a high dollar fundraiser hosted by Andrew Goldman a fossil fuel executive"
Biden immediately says he is not. Andrew Goldman provides Canadian gas to parts of Asia as head of Western LNG.

2/n: The director of @ScienceMuseum Sir Ian Blatchford argues that oil & gas companies “have the capital, geography, people & logistics to find the solutions [to climate change]." This is naive on so many levels.
3/n: First, @ScienceMuseum is legitimising fossil fuel industry's favourite false premise: that solutions to the climate crisis don't already exist. *THEY DO*. And Sir Ian knows it; just last week he wrote about how the Museum has been implementing solutions for years (bravo!).

Fossil fuel companies have spent $1 billion since the Paris Agreement was signed on greenwashing their image.

Lamar Alexander has taken $1.2 million from them, and his "Ten Grand Challenges" look an awful lot like that industry's greenwash wishlist.
The biggest fossil fuel industry players are multinational corporations. Formal climate denial has been largely a US phenomena, and one they're very happy with. But on the world stage they've long had a different approach than funding junk science and crackpot deniers
Industry representatives have been crawling over UN climate talks for years mucking it up. Organizers in the US have shifted the Overton window away from old school climate denial and that's great! What the industry has lined up next isn't any better, and arguably more dangerous
