Several possible programs aren't currently in the budget, still pursuing grants for:
Ann Arbor to Detroit service
Municipal Mobility Pilot Project
M.obility O.riented D.evelopment Study data collection has begun for areas of Woodward and the Ann Arbor to Detroit Corridor. Expected to continue through mid-Oct before beginning conversations about what decisions to make with the data.
Coordinated Human Services Study: looking to get more input from each agency.
Mobility Challenge Grant: looked at 9 possible vendors, narrowing that down to roll out mobile booking app for seniors and ADA availability
RMTP Update: This month will have a meeting in Oakland County. There will also be another meeting in Western Wayne county. This is the last month for comment on updated plan through metroquest: rtamichigan.org/wp-content/upl…
VW grant funding may be used for electric vehicle investment but it is unclear if RTA providers will be able to make use of funding due to guidelines in place.
On the Open Houses: Washetnaw meetings got requests for expanded service. Feedback on investment priorities: low scores for new mobility and workforce development. Looking for funds for pilot programs to show value in investments. Likely those pilots would focus on buses
Fun stuff: Trying to organize a Film Screening for Give Me Liberty, a film about a medical transport driver at the @DIADetroit
@YPTvoice has a new chapter in Detroit for Young Professionals in Transportation!
