The people who were caught leaving out exculpatory details in their reporting expect us to take them at their word about what happened in a private conversation.
They know Kavanaugh is not going to respond. So they can say whatever they want or twist his words however they want.
I wish this story and news cycle could be left behind. Kavanaugh and his family cannot be enjoying this. But they keep bringing it back to life with these lame attempts at covering their asses or further smears.
Even the usual suspects aren't signal boosting this story with feigned outrage. Because they know what "off the record" means.
