It’s the #MinCup2019 final match. After a month of arguing about minerals, come vote one more time?

After I partnered with a professional photographer, I started getting more unsolicited opportunities and was able to successfully negotiate higher rates.

Rinse & repeat when I started (irregularly) getting professional hair & makeup.
My makeup is a work expense. I don’t wear any in daily life beyond practice to get better at self-application for when I don’t have an artist

Same for hiring makeup artists to give me lessons. Turns out it’s not a skill I developed in my physics, geology, & communication classes
I used to think I was bad at negotiating because my occasional-lawyers or agents (all men) got such higher rates tgan me solo that it more than compensated for their percentage.

Then I ghostwrote negotiations for a friend & discovered nah, it was all having a man’s name & voice.

I promised I’d be nice to #Quartz this #MinCup, although SOME people think it’s mean to point out you can access quartz’s electrical properties by hitting, squishing, or sawing it.

So, fine. Strategy tip. Why not tap existing Steven Universe fans to recruit voters?
The .gif opportunities are amazing considering Amethyst (the purple gem of #Quartz) is a major character.

One of the reoccurring #MinCup2019 arguments is that #Quartz is more stable than #IceMin at surface temperatures.

You’ve got a .gif for that. NO ONE USED IT THE ENTIRE CUP. Come on, it’s in the first handful of “Amethyst Steven Universe” .gifs pre-loaded into the Twitter app!

2/ Holder was held in contempt for stonewalling and failing to turn over the documents to the House Oversight Committee. Obama granted the executive privilege request despite claiming to have no knowledge about Operation Fast and Furious when it was active from 2009-2010.
3/ Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry was killed by Mexican bandits in December 2010 and guns from the operation were found at the murder scene.

difficult idea #1: with most high-skill activities, the doing, the knowing, the saying, the hearing, and the learning are all dramatically different things.
that's pretty pithy, so i better unpack it a little. let's take one of my high-skill activities and break it out as suggested by the headline.
i routinely, multiple times a day, walk to the nearest outside place, my upstairs deck when i'm working at home, light up a cigarette, smoke it, drink from a bottle of soda, and pace around intently, and i do it with little or no awareness.
