Ok Moose, are you ready to showcase the #MinCup2019Final contestants for our pocket friends? Plush moose with a notebook with fancy ink lettering spelling out “Mineral Cup 2019”
It’s still only autumn in the Pacific Northwest, but are you looking forward to first snowfall, Moose?

Those delicate #IceMin crystals show up so well on your chocolate brown! Plush moose in a snowbank, dappled in snowflakes
Ahh! Yeah, I know, Moose, you’ve had rather painful experiences with #Quartz.

But try to find a comfy spot so we can grab a pic? Just, uh... maybe pretend it’s a Bed of Nails demo? Plush moose painfully sprawled on an extremely pointy quartz crystal
Aww, yes I remember you building a Snowmoose last winter!

You can certainly casually engage with #IceMin a lot more readily than with #Quartz, exploring geophysical properties in informal settings. Plush moose building a matching snow moosePlush moose and snow moose posing together, heads cocked
I pulled out every vaguely interesting piece of #quartz I have, Moose, even the weird agate slice that was dyed green for inexplicable reasons.

You don’t need to cower, I promise I won’t let any pounce on you with pointy bits or stub your wee feed. Plush moose on a grey background surrounded with assorted rocks from an Amethyst crystal to a druzy drill core fragment
Hey! No climbing in to the synthetic ice collection, Moose. Plush moose getting ready to haul himself over the edge of a freezer box of ice cubes
Yes Moose, you can go hang out with the t-shirt #quartz crystals instead of the real deal. At least, I think they’re quartz; hard to tell if those are hexagonal.

Ah well, like most minerals in the crust, quartz is a pretty good default guess just because it’s so common. Plush moose holding a t shirt reading “let me consult my crystals” in a circle around a sketched crystal cluster
You do look pretty cute when you collect snowflakes, Moose.

And yes, we can go vote #IceMin in #MinCup2019 now. You wanna push the button?
