My #RestBash was short and sweet. Home for 16 hours, slept for 10. Now back to the station as I'm London bound for #SeConf and my keynote on Tuesday 😨

Feeling the pressure, I know I can do it, but it's full circle for me, the closing of a chapter.

Thread.
My first ever testing conference?
London Selenium Conference 2012.

Now, 7 years on, so much has happened. But it's in those 7 years, that I formulated my testing/automation views and that's what my keynote is about.

I'm emotional about it because...
I'm mid transition now, from FriendlyTester to FriendlyBossBoss. It's feels like an official ending to this chapter. Keynoting where that early spark was lit that got fully ignited by @ministryoftest and this incredible community.
It's time for the next chapter. But before I do that, I've mapped out a plan to codify as much knowledge as I can, by writing books/articles and creating online courses.

I'll never stop being a tester and tinkering with stuff/code, but...
I need to invest the majority of my time and energy into being a great leader at MoT. Supporting the incredible team at MoT so they can do their best work. Building MoT so they can experiment, continue to innovate and be a leader in communities.
I can't continue to drift between the roles, I know this, but change is hard. But I know that my codified knowledge will inspire others, I know it will be a great journey capturing and forming it all, I'm excited about it.
However, I'm even more excited about where MoT can go, the impact it will have and how I can contribute to that.

It's exciting!

But first Keynote, arghhhhh!
Bad grammar here.
That should read

But first, the keynote, arghhhh!
