1) Larry Duncan served on the Dallas City Council back in the 90s. In 2003, he ran for a seat on a much lesser-known body: Dallas County Schools. Here's what he told @dallasnews at the time:
2) Duncan won that 2003 election. Eventually he became president of the Dallas County Schools board. DCS didn't run any schools or educate students. It ran school buses for thousands of kids in Dallas ISD and elsewhere. It was a huge job.
3) Then a company from New Orleans approached Duncan and other DCS leaders with a proposal: Put our security cameras on your buses. Catch speeding drivers. Ticket them. We'll give you a share of the fines.

NEW: President Trump has asked a federal court in New York to block federal agents from reviewing materials seized in a raid of his private lawyer, Michael Cohen.
The president's other personal attorneys that they, acting on President Trump's behalf, and Cohen should be the ones to determine which materials are privileged.
There's an interesting dynamic here: The president, who supervises DOJ, is asking a federal court to rule that a fairly standard DOJ practice is unfair.
