1. SOUTH CAROLINA has the 15th largest African American population in the United States - with Orangeburg having the largest population by city. I was shocked to only see 3 presidential candidates (Harris, Booker, Steyer) show up to Betty Henderson's annual cook-off in Orangeburg

2. It is no secret that it will be extremely difficult for anyone to win the democratic primary without SOUTH CAROLINA.

The absence of the other presidential candidates is insulting, and I believe that it means one of two things:

3. One - Absent candidates believe that they can win *without* the African American vote in SC.

Two - Absent candidates *expect* African Americans in SC to just fall in place and just vote the way they've been told.

Either way...it's DISPARAGING!

4. My husband and I are raising our daughters to know their worth. Our daughters know that one of the most dutiful and powerful ways to show their worth is through their vote. Now, they may not be old enough to vote yet; but, they are definitely witnesses to this practice.

5. I maybe a bit biased, but I'm honest and fair. Senator @KamalaHarris has come to SOUTH CAROLINA so many times I wonder if she's purchased property here.

That means something to my family. I pray that it means something to other families, too.

6. Last night, Senator Harris stopped by a local beauty salon in Orangeburg, SC. She didn't alert the media for fanfare. She went & sat with potential voters to introduce herself and to genuinely listen to their voices. She didn't have selfie lines, and there was no velvet rope.

7. SOUTH CAROLINA:It's time for us to show our worth! Our state's motto is "While I Breathe I Hope."There is no other candidate, in my humble opinion, who gives us hope more than Senator Harris.

We can no longer reward candidates with our votes if they don't see our worth.
