Next time I’m in court and I don’t agree with my client’s case I’m going to submit my written submissions then privately send a post-it note to the judge saying I don’t really think that.
Can’t see what could be wrong with that. I’m just expressing my heartfelt view, not my fault my duty to my client is to present their rubbish case
The judge will get it and I’m sure the Bar Standards Board will praise me for doing what’s best for me and justice if not my client

Here is the press release. Not full win for applicants - applicant who cared for her disabled daughter did not succeed because Discretionary Housing Payments could make up a shortfall in rent. The applicant who was a victim of domestic violence succeeded hudoc.echr.coe.int/eng?i=003-6545…
Basically it looks like the Strasbourg Court agreed with Lady Hale and Lord Carnwath's dissent in the Supreme Court re domestic violence in [2016] UKSC 58 supremecourt.uk/cases/docs/uks…

Taehyung sat in the back corner of the coffee shop that was on the same block as his apartment. He’d never been inside until today for the simple reason that he /hated/ coffee.

He associated the smell of it with everything bad, like his annoying professors, stressed and sleep
deprived adults, and bitterness. He didn’t understand why people liked it so much, you couldn’t pay him enough to take a sip, which is why he was surprised at his own self for even considering getting up and ordering a cup right now.

The main reason being the cute barista.

Sorry if my enthusiasm level is down a bit on this one - Ty's performance so atrocious that it's been literally draining to wade through the disaster. So so much cringe.
When we left off last night, Judge Chupp had elected to move on to the Funimation case, leaving defamation and conspiracy still to be determined for Toye and Rial.

It's been a while, but it looks like it's time for a livetweet. My understanding is that the full document will be released to the public very soon, and I'll link it at the end of the thread instead of waiting to start.
A quick overview:
I'm in England and it's pushing midnight, so I'm not going to sink too deep into the substantive law, but I will try to hit all the high points from the hearing. I'll also talk about oral advocacy a fair amount.
I coach a moot court team, so I'll be reading this transcript with the question of whether it should be assigned reading in mind.

I should note in this context that I've got hopes for Hsu (Vic's newest lawyer.) His bio said he did Jessup, which is a big deal moot court.

D&D feels like a HUGE cheat, since that, for me, covers B/X, BECMI, AD&D 1st and 2nd Edition, 3rd, 4th, and 5th edition.

I also don't lump Pathfinder in there because despite being a similar rules base, I learned completely different things from how the game was supported.
Standard disclaimer--I tried to pick the top ten, but I've definitely been influenced by more games than this. Sometimes, in retrospect, but there have definitely been more than these 10 that had an impact.

Many Iranians criticised one of BBC Farsi’s journalists for her comments on Iran-Hezbullah relations. Some have even threatened her that she won’t be allowed to go back to Iran after the fall of the regime. Many Iranians believe some of @bbcpersian journalists support the regime.
In the past few days some anti-BBC slogans have been chanted by the protesters in Iran. In a comment one of BBCFarsi journalist claims that ‘Trump wants to turn Iran into another Syria by starting a civil war etc’. The same propaganda which is pumped out by Iranian state media.
Some of @BBCPersian journalists block anyone who criticises them. One of its journalists in particular has publicly supported A.Khamenei on his social media pages. I have written to a few MPs and the BBC about. Will see if BBC is interested in opening an investigation.
