Where is the leak?
Where did all the money go? This is a question a lot of people tend to ask, few weeks after they've been paid. If you can't keep track of your expenses, you would not be able to identify your financial leaks.
A leak can come from something you buy often with an amount that's mostly negligible. Leaks are often tied to habits you indulge in or things you consume consistently.
From addiction to soda. Indiscipline with call credit. To buying that catfish peppersoup you can't resist. Hanging out with friends at your favourite restaurant. Finding your leak can be done if you track your expenses.
When you find your leak, how do you deal with it?
Monitor your expenses. Be sure you need to spend, before you do.
Have a specific sum in your wallet. This helps to control spending.
Have a budget- A financial plan to fund your indulgences.
Schedule your pleasures. Plan your splurging. Time it. The more you plan your finances, the more you block the leaks.
