The US government has been after Rafael Caro Quintero ever since he was found to have killed DEA agent Kiki Camarena in the 1980s. Now the Brooklyn prosecutors who convicted his protege Chapo Guzman are going after 8 of his properties in Mexico. 
Many DEA agents approach the case of RCQ, who was released from prison by a judge in 2018 after serving more than 20 years, with profound emotion because of his culpability in Camarena’s murder. They consider his release to be unfinished business.
