“Corrective measures to stop a 'culture of patronage' may require a clean slate on key roles with proper hiring & interview process”
The report was highly critical of the campaign’s messaging & comms: “Currently, the PV campaign falls short of best practice on messaging.”

It also found the digital campaign content produced by PV lacking: “Remain lags firmly behind Leave in the online messaging proxy war"

Reason Johnson keeps wriggling out of this question is terminology - ie “checks”.

Businesses will have to fill in forms - ie an administrative process - that they currently don’t need to fill.

These forms, per the Johnson govt’s own published risk assessment, cost time & money
Only way to get a waiver on aspects of this process would be for the UK to align with the EU's standards for goods, customs procedures, and customs risk management — which Johnson has indicated he doesn't want to do. i.e. as with much of the Brexit debate it is about trade offs
This specific issue goes back to the fact that Johnson just tells people want they want to hear and promises to reconcile the irreconcilable.

That said, he'd pledged no customs & regulatory border down the Irish sea but cometh the hour cometh the u-turn — and did just that.

Between May - August 2019, NATO StratCom conducted an experiment. For the cost of €300, they bought 3,530 comments, 25,750 likes, 20,000 views and 5,100 followers across Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Instagram from manipulation service providers
Researchers were able to identify 18,739 accounts used to engage with the purchased interactions, and to observe what other pages these accounts were interacting with.

A key purpose of the test was to assess how the 4 platforms deal with inauthentic interactions & accounts

I’m redoing a thread about internal tensions in the PV HQ that many of us have identified for at least a year.

A division whether they should wholeheartedly back remain or slide around close to Labour that wants to hold open a Labour Brexit in a GE.

I went to an event at The Convention (I misidentified the event) a month or 2 ago & Baldwin was on 1 of the panels

His lacklustre approach (intimated here) went down like a lead balloon. As we left numerous people were commenting on it & we didn’t understand why
