Dear @tundefashola
I drove 37 km on the Aba-Enugu expressway to Okigwe yesterday, connecting from the Abia Towers, without seeing a single pothole until we branched off at Okigwe towards Uturu. I was as pleasantly surprised as the Taxi driver that carried me from Owerri.
The fantastic road cut our journey by half! I thought I’ll share this testimony because an Igbo adage says “E too dike na nke o mere, o mekwa zoo”. The ride back to Aba was just as smooth until we got towards Tonimas area.
We exhausted the time we saved up on the highway in a 2km stretch of road. I saw heaps of sand & gravel packed on the side of the road and that makes me hopeful that maybe as the rains reduce they will expedite action, and also complete the other side of the road
so it’s a two-way traffic. That road is such a high traffic road for people travelling towards Port Harcourt on the one hand and Enugu on the other. I know you are only doing your job Mr. BRF, but I’ll say keep up the good work.
👍🏼
*o mekwa ozo*
