There's the smart pants start ups

and there's

the bootstrapper guerilla start ups.

The 1st group loves venture capitals, Angel investors that sorta thing. Celebrate when loan comes.

The 2nd group build from ground up w/ their cash. Celebrates when profit comes.
The smart pants are usually ivy league college trained. Many come back to Naija to start a fintech coy or something in the line.

The bootstrapper gang are usually trained in copywriting, marketing especially Internet marketing.
After years of labour, the smart pants may hit the jackpot and exit (sell their business) for x amount of dollars and retire.

Whereas, from day one of a new venture, the bootstrapper is making profit sometimes in millions.
While the smart pant business route is open to a privileged few and frankly is a rocky climb with many businesses dying before 1st anniversary,

anyone could learn the few skills to get into the bootstrapper's model.

It's cheaper & cleaner.

Choose wisely.
