'Lotta things wrong here. This argument about high genetic diversity between African versus non-African populations when applied to the race debate exploits public ignorance of what geneticists refer to as linkage disequilibrium (LD).
The all too frequent example given that two Irishmen are more genetically distant from each other than an African man is rooted in specious comparison as the same can be said when comparing them to a chimpanzee. The larger sized African groups had hundred’s of thousands
of years to undergo genetic changes between contiguous populations compared with the relatively small-sized breakaway group that left to colonize the rest of the world, thus leading to low levels of LD among Africans versus high levels among non-Africans.
This map shows a time scale of around 700,000 years. The modern races didn’t even begin to develop and differentiate until about 40-70,000 years ago – well after sapiens began their transcontinental migrations sequel to the African diaspora. 
Additionally, the overused 2002 statistic from the Human Genome Project that races are 99.9% genetically identical is also wrong as it’s predicated on the superceded assumption that variances between racially exclusive genomes are limited to SNPs and tandem repeats.
The genomes also differ via structural variation manifested as CNVs, segmental duplications, indels, and transposons which incorporate a significantly higher nucleotide density than SNPs/STRs leading to an actual bilateral variance of around 12% between racially exclusive genomes
Academics that label anyone who believes in the existence of race as a “racist” are guilty of using intimidation tactics to socially engineer a false paradigm into the public consciousness that genetic differences between races don’t exist.
