That is the reason @Conservatives can get away with the misleading "Fact check" reskin - there is no law against it. If had been printed material, there would have been a legal requirement for it to say it was from Conservatives. On social, it is possible to mislead - lawfully
This demonstrates clearly that lessons haven't been learned from the Referendum campaign where there was widespread use of bots and misleading ads. No surprise that this particular government has no interest in changing the rules, which are ridiculously out of date

Although, ‘after Brexit’ and ‘let’s have a commission’ make it sound quite a long grass policy. At least medium grass.

If there is a Tory majority, It is very important to lobby for the commission to be cross-party - crucial that a constitutional commission is broad-based

I followed the Labour manifesto launch today and my main feeling is of missing being a Labour voter. I think some of the policies are sorely needed. Hopefully next election. I'm truly sorry that it has come to this (for reasons in this thread)

Like many left wing Jewish people I feel conflicted but not responsible for that conflict. I don't hate what Labour has become, or Corbyn himself. I don't think he or anyone around him is evil. I just feel sad.

Me : I'm aware of accusations that the Conservative party changed the display name of its social media account to this. Such actions go far beyond propaganda and into disinformation and deception. It questions the values of organisation ...
i.e. it would not be a simple case of spinning news anymore or being economical with the truth. Such an action crosses a line into deliberate deception. No political party should ever cross that line, it's more what you would expect from organised crime.
Unfortunately, it doesn't stop there. The real threat is whether such actions were taken deliberately to cause #outrage. In which case, we're now talking about psychological manipulation and these are crafts of war, not suited to political discourse ...

Here’s all I have to say on cash-for-votes

People like to sit on their high horses and act as if it’s just the poor & uneducated who are paid for their votes.
Look at the appointments, the CBN-type jobs, the party tickets & the kings. Look at those who get the inflated contracts
Look at yourselves.
Today, you’re tweeting about how politicians shamelessly pay for votes but when you meet the same politicians in person, you’re fighting for selfies instead of asking them to explain themselves.
The middlemen who will organise printing of inauguration brochures & decorate the venue are already lobbying & will make a killing
People near and far will be lobbying for appointments. Everyone has already forgotten the voter in Ward whatever.

Just don’t steal to pay for votes
