A couple things come to mind: One, I wrote about how Democrats were trending towards an all white top tier in October. nytimes.com/2019/10/29/us/…
Two: The top tier would NOT be all-white if black and Latino Democrats were supporting the black and Latino candidates. They are not, at this time. The key here is the theme of this story, that representation is not the sole priority for this group

It is simplistic, and reductive, to ignore this. There's a lot of folks on this app whose "trust POC voters" mantra only extend far enough that POC voters are doing what they want them to do

Journalists and opinion writers who complain that Democrats are not treating Trump with the mockery and disdain that Republicans treated Obama or Trump treats every carbon-based life form not himself reveal a few things about themselves and the media environment.
They want to be entertained, not informed. They have been trained by Trump to report on the silly stuff, the insults, the personal beefs, the mood or campaigns, not the substance
They are willing to continue the charade that there is an even playing field for media coverage as though there were not this vast propaganda arm from Fox, One America, and Sinclair to amplify the bullshit which the mainstream media will treat as one "side" of debate

With all of the talk and action on NFL futures, I wanted to share another story.

This time of year, there are so many wagers being placed on teams to win the Super Bowl. Literally every day and has been that way for months.

And it’s not just on..
the “good” teams or the “popular” teams. It’s on everybody. This year, yes, way more on the Bears and Browns, but just yesterday, I saw Titans, Dolphins, Jaguars, and Redskins just to name a few.

Las Vegas sees people from all over so the future pools are really a big part of..
the business here. Not just NFL either

Meaning, I saw tickets on TCU and BYU to win the NCAA championship, the Texas Rangers to win the World Series and the Ottawa Senators to win the Stanley Cup yesterday alone. High odds, but in reality, umm, yeah.

....but not one the next President can fix a decade after the fact. The other is taking for granted things most Americans — not just partisan Democrats — liked about Obama. Not having close associates convicted of felonies; not relying on Russians & Saudis for political help...
....speaking in complete sentences; not ripping off the taxpayers for personal gain. The full list is a lengthy one, and Democratic candidates — especially the self-described progressives, but not only them — do tend to be pretty quiet about it.
