The new Ghostbusters trailer?

Man, I've just had an entire decade plus pandering to my nostalgia. Star Trek, Star Wars, a TMNT reboot for every day of the week ...

Come on. Everyone else who grew up with this stuff: don't any of you get *tired* of it?
When I was a kid, films and TV didn't spend all their time catering to my parents. They weren't constantly rebooting westerns or war movies.

They were catering to *me,* from the start.

Because I would bug the shit out of my parents to buy me plastic garbage.
That's how it's been my whole life. Companies have been catering to me for decades in the hopes that I will take over for my parents in purchasing the plastic garbage.

But it's old. It's exhausting.

I don't want to have a yearly regurgitation of marketing from my childhood.
Look, I like the old shit now and then. We're getting the first ever live action adaptation of Crisis on Infinite Earths and I'm there for it.

But lots of this stuff isn't first-ever. It's a call to nestle myself in warm childhood regression.
Sometimes you need to feel safe from the world, have an escape. You need a little nostalgia sometimes. It's perspective.

But we are fucking overdosing on it and I'm about to need a crash cart.
