In 2019 I replaced 860 car journeys of less than 8km with cycling. I enjoyed it. How much CO2 did I cut back on? 1720kg less than if I'd driven. I'm just one person.
I used these figures to estimate my calculation:
Manufacturer and running of a car (on average): 271g CO2 per km
Manufacturer and fuel (cake, pie, beer as fuel - on average): 21g CO2 per km

So each journey by bicycle reduced the carbon dioxide output of my travelling in @DioceseOfYork and (soon to be) @LeedsCofE by 10 times.
When I think of the the impact of climate change / global warming on the oceans: that the rising temperature is reducing the oxygen content - making it harder for the life of the seas to survive...
When I think of rising sea levels and the impact of people who live in low lying places (like Hull, or the islands in the Pacific)...
When I think that all my travelling is supposed to be in the ministry of bringing God's good news to the poor and vulnerable...
When I think about God's good creation and the stewardship we were given...
I give thanks to God for the energy, enthusiasm, strength, fitness and joy I find in cycling. I pray for those who care about all this, but are unable to cycle for whatever reason...
And above all, I ask for God to bring wisdom and inspiration to all who are looking for new and sustainable ways in which we can live in harmony with our beautiful planet and all the wonderful people and creatures who call it home

UPDATE: I now have access to 23,000 emails that were leaked by BitMEX. Surprisingly, there is only one person that used a .gov email. There were 66 students/alumni that used .edu email. NYU dominates (7 people), followed by Berkley, and University of Michigan.
64% of people used Gmail, 7% Hotmail, 3.8% Yahoo and only 3.2% ProtonMail
Based on top-level domains, .com obviously dominates with 87%. It's followed by .de (1.8%), .ru (1.1%), .net (0.9%), .co.uk (0.8%), .io (0.7%), .fr (0.6%).

I spent a weekend with the "III% Security Force," which is one of the biggest private militia groups in America. I got a rare look into their training exercises.

A lot of academics write about these folks, but I think raw video like this is rare. (Part 1)
Before I go into tweeting clips to supplement the videos I'm releasing on Youtube, I want to point out that Vice has covered the founding chapter of the same group. Their version is filled with music/effects, mine is raw video.

Theirs is monetized on YT.

Their first drill was a quick-draw against a nearby target. The hypothetical situation they were training for is if one of them was open carrying and faced a close-up enemy. The goal was to draw, and do "two to the chest, one to the head."

Professional sports players are usually #freemasons: they are part of the overpaid #masonic distraction schemes (most sports are invented by masons for this reason). That makes any news, tragedy, crime related to these people highly supect. #Hoax/#PsyOp should be considered.

OK, seeing as literally none of you asked, I made a graph of 18 years of bus fares in Edinburgh (on Lothian Buses - nobody really uses First Bus)
Until 2013, it's almost as if you could set the bus fares by the increasing cost of diesel. Then something else happens...
(I should declare that this is not a pop at Lothian Buses whom I think are by and large, fabulous, they pay their staff well, provide a comprehensive service and have invested massively in a modern, accessible fleet with increasingly improved emissions)
