Could we prevent the deaths of billions if we manage to slow warming by slashing emissions to zero within a decade (plus other action)? Yes, perhaps.

I think we'll hit 1.5°C by 2024-2029, followed by 2°C by 2030-2039. I'm confident many climate scientists would not disagree with this projection.
