North Carolina taking credit for the Wright Brothers is like the Moon taking credit for Neil Armstrong
Fun fact: the Wright Cycle Co (where the plane was built) was at 1127 W 3rd St, Dayton OH; in 1937 with Orville's cooperation it was moved to Henry Ford's Greenfield Village in Dearborn MI. I visited it earlier this year. Let the Ohio-Michigan hate FLOW

Look, I'm from Iowa/TX, don't have a dog in this fight. But the Wrights were born, educated, lived, died, & were buried in Dayton OH, where they also built their first plane, company & factory. OK, so they went camping in NC a couple of times

I dunno, I just find the NC license plate slogan to be the ultimate in - what the kids say? - weird flex but okay
Nothing against North Carolina, btw, it's a quite lovely state and I am a long time fan of their tobacco and alcohol products
This came as a surprise to me, but apparently they spent 3 years growing up in Cedar Rapids. Move over Ohio & North Carolina, IOWA IS FIRST IN FLIGHT
