nearest car in pic is 1936 Olds, I am limiting one ID per customer today
Stumped by small blue hardtop coupe in #1. In front of it is a 1962 Olds Starfire. #2 is 1956 Olds 98 Holiday 4 dr hardtop. #3 clockwise from top, 57 Cadillac, 61 Chev, 60 Olds, 57 Chev, 63 Ford, 63 Buick Riv, Jeep Wagoneer, MGB

oops, didn't see you weren't an American, so my bad. Pic also has a white 56 TBird and yellow 32 Ford 5 window, so must be an homage to American Graffiti

Here's a crazy idea: instead of telling me how many 4/5 star high school players a team has, tell me how many of them are 4/5 star players after 3 years
It's just hilarious listening to talking heads still insisting USC has far more "talent" than Iowa after that beatdown. Any objective review of that game will tell you Iowa was bigger, stronger, more skilled, and yes, FASTER than USC.
Ferentz is pretty good at developing players, but after a 2 year recruiting cycle that may produce 6 NFL first rounders (Fant Hockenson Epenesa Wirfs Jackson & maybe Stone), maybe he's also better at judging talent that anonymous chatroom randos

A very nice tweet from USC fandom recognizing a very nice gesture by Hawkeye FB. Sportsmanship is not dead.
the obvious commonality between Iowa and USC is former Trojan footballer & Iowa native John Wayne. The other is Howard Jones, who coached Iowa to national championships in 1921 & 1922* before moving to USC and winning 4 NCs for the Trojans.
*there wasn't an official national champ in those days, or poll; Iowa was undefeated B1G champs in both '21 and '22 and can make a strong case that they were NC. In addition to USC and Iowa, Howard Jones also coached Yale to a mythical NC in 1909.

My life has changed dramatically in the last year.

I’ll admit it, I was a consumer on this product this year, but there was no reason for me to talk. I had to figure things out for myself.

In general, election-related punditry (i) is a few weeks behind the actual data, but once it catches up to the shift in the polls it both (ii) exaggerates swings and (iii) overestimates precision (underestimates uncertainty).
So instead of:

"Over several months, the House has gone from modestly favoring Democrats to more like a toss-up; it's a meaningful-ish change but a wide range of outcomes remain plausible"

We get:

"OMG a BLUE WAVE was ALL BUT ASSURED and now SUDDENLY Democrats are BLOWING IT!"
You can also find examples of people erring in the other direction and denying that there's been *any* good news for the GOP.

Need to hold these 3 ideas in your head at once:

1. It's gotten a bit better for the GOP
2. It's still pretty good for Dems
3. Uncertainty is very high
