1. I like reading these decade-in-review pieces, but I keep wondering: How many people looked back at the end of 2009 and said, "You know what was really important in this decade? That game show with Donald Trump in it. That's gonna change everything."
2. How many people looked back from 1999 and said, "I feel like those embassy bombing in '98 are a prelude for something big, the sort of thing that separates one era from another"?
3. How many people looked back in 1969 and said, "Landing on the moon is cool, but the really revolutionary tech event was when they launched ARPANET"?
4. What I'm saying is: I feel like I'm just barely starting to make sense of the '00s here. Don't rush me on the '10s.
