1. Here's the state of play for what Trump's Fox News cabinet is telling him about Iran: mediamatters.org/blog/2019/06/2…
2. Brian Kilmeade spent much of Fox & Friends criticizing Trump for calling off military strikes, arguing that it “makes us look so weak” and "weakness begets more attacks."
3. Steve Doocy and Ainsley Earhardt were more charitable, basically saying that Trump knows what he’s doing and will respond in due time and would probably use military force.
4. Pete Hegseth took a middle ground, saying that a military response is necessary and inevitable, but without criticizing Trump for calling off the strikes at this point.
5. The primetime hosts (whose shows aired before news broke of the aborted strike were also split. Hannity was the most bellicose, saying that if the mullahs don't back off, Trump "will bomb the hell out of them."
6. Ingraham said she would support “a targeted show of force” if Trump believes it “can produce the intended deterrence,” but warned Trump not to get into a broader war -- not because people would die, but because that's one of the only things she thinks could stop reelection.
7. Tucker Carlson was the only one to denounce any military strike, however limited, saying that the Washington establishment "want a war badly" and are "putting American troops into situations where conflict is inevitable in order to start a war.”
8. Carlson’s view seems to be carrying the day. But by its nature, the Fox-Trump feedback loop creates instability as the president is famously impulsive and can quickly change his mind based on input from the television. It’s unclear what the next few days will bring. #end
