The DNC touts 26 qualifying polls for the December debate. But then there's this, on the January debate: "Yang's letter to Perez noted that only one qualifying survey of Iowa, New Hampshire or Nevada had been released in the previous 38 days." Fix this, DNC. I mean, Jesus Christ.
It was an obvious weakness of the DNC plan that it was based on the willingness of third parties to conduct polling at a reasonable clip in the runup to early votes. Now that the DNC sees that those parties can't be relied upon, *it* has the responsibility for fixing the problem.
I firmly believe, and have believed ever since I entered our adversarial system of justice as a public defender, that a rigorous multilateral discourse tends to be the most likely means to arrive at truth. An artificial winnowing of candidates holds no interest for me whatsoever.
