Google’s Monopoly is Stifling Free Software by byuu link.medium.com/bK1xXpjvO2 // What google (and Microsoft and...) are doing is the best thing for PCs. The problem has always been each individual thinks they are wise enough to avoid malware, yet somehow it spreads anyway.
PS/ Given the world of fake news today, just saying "google's monopoly" isn't entirely accurate. They have less than 70% desktop share worldwide (and declining trend) which is below what has historically been considered monopoly market share in the US. Chrome at 68% worldwide in a chart.Chrome at 48% in the US in a chart.
