1. There is a major political finessing going on right now.
ADOS was conflated with the #ADOS political organization.
The leaders of that organization got coopted by the Democrats. They are also clicked in with Byron Allen. They are trying to manipulate Black ppl (cont)
2. The ADOS political group is trying to manipulate Black ppl to support Byron Allens lawsuit under the guise of "BLaCk RighTs BeiNg tHreAtenEd" by the 1866 law. And the Democrats are going to use this same lawsuit to try & galvanize Black voters to support them without tangibles

As we continue to engage in #ADOS justice work, we've been catching criticisms from cynics, some of them vehement, who mock us for always talking about data. "Data, data, blah, blah..."

There's a critical context argument that gets missed here. (1/)
It's critical that an ADOS Agile Activist have knowledge of what the numbers translate to (in understanding #ADOSLife), BUT YOU ALSO NEED THE NUMBERS.

Why do I bring this up? It falls back to some of the arguments going on in our world. (2/)

“ADOS stands for the American Descendants of Slavery,” my sister said. They believe that black Americans should have their own ethnic category, distinct from African and Caribbean immigrants. “What do you think?”
She said it was controversial because ADOS believes that well-off black immigrants take affirmative action slots at jobs and schools that should be for the descendants of slavery. “I’ll check it out.” I said. It turned out to be the most polarizing subject I’ve ever covered.

#ADOS isn’t just a reparations movt, but a need for reparations explained thru the lens of historic income inequality & wealth calcification, and understanding that as whites r inheriting wealth, we’re inheriting the poverty of accrued disadvantage & bottom caste existence 🇺🇸
1) So the criticism of “reparations advocacy didn’t start with #ADOS!” is a misnomer. We never claimed that. But we did use the inequality work of economists like Piketty & Darity to show that money comes thru inheritance now, not labor & there is no catching up. 🇺🇸
2) We dealt a death blow to do-for-selferism, showing thru Darity‘s work & others that #ADOS disadvantage is not the result of cultural deficits & thus, cant be fixed through individual agency or effort.
