1. He knows he can’t win the White House without us.

2. Ohio is in play because of #TrumpsBrokenPromises and failed policies.
Over the past year, @realDonaldTrump’s approval ratings have been steady in Ohio -- steadily underwater.

A July 2019 Quinnipiac University poll found Trump had a negative 43 - 52 percent job approval rating.

The outrage about Ohio’s insane and dangerous bill forcing the reimplantation of ectopic pregnancies (not medically feasible) has gone international. As it should.

We’re used to this extreme nonsense in Ohio. We do our best to fight it. But it’s a useful case study of how extreme a party lurches under extreme gerrymandering. For that, you can blame both moderate and right-wing Ohio GOPers.

So how did things get so extreme?

Note, in ‘18, across OH’s 99 districts, 50.3% of Ohioans voted for a Republican for the statehouse, 49.3% for a Dem

Amid those wins, Dems flipped 6 red districts blue. (After not having flipped a single gerrymandered district all decade)

For years, @senrobportman has gushed and patted himself on the back for having founded and co-led the Senate’s Ukraine Caucus.

From the day he kicked it off, in fact, he proudly dubs himself the “co-chair” and “co-founder.”

He touts an award he received in this role, he discusses a productive meeting w Ambassador Yovanovitch, and he also uses that role in particular to talk about how hard he is pushing for aid and funds to go to Ukraine.

Today we are releasing a new investigation into an American airstrike that caused civilian casualties in Somalia.

With so much Trump impeachment news to keep up on, why should you spare a moment on 3 dead farmers in Somalia?

Give me a shot in this #thread to answer that.
First, the facts: on 18 March 2019, the US launched an airstrike against 3 men driving in a Toyota SUV on their way back to Mogadishu. Everyone agrees on that.

@USAfricaCommand says they killed 3 "terrorists."

We say they don't know who they killed. amnesty.org/en/latest/news…
This word "terrorist" is important. After 18 years of war, it no longer means what you think it means.

The US isn't talking about operatives planning international attacks. AFRICOM told us they hit "lower level al-Shabaab" or "affiliates" ahead of a ground operation.
