This guy is reacting to the term "eternal servitude" in isolation without understanding the specific Shri-Vaishnava context of the sketch
That term would likely have been used by the illustrator even if the subject in question had not been Andal but any of the other dozen male Alwars
For instance one of the 12 Alwars is the illustrious "Vipra Narayana", also known as "Thondaradippodi Alwar"
He was a male brAhmaNa, but his devotion to Vishnu earned him the epithet "Thondaradippodi" which means -
"Dust at the feet of the lord narAyaNa"

Now if Vipra nArAyaNa were a woman, then a casual observer would react to the epithet "Dust at the feet of the lord" with disgust, and say - hey..this is the worst form of female subjugation. Especially if unfamiliar with Sri-Vaishnavism
