The cartel drug epidemic and failed policies of the left have torn cities, communities and families apart. These townhouses, in a heavily drug infested area of Youngstown, OH may look abandoned but people and children still live in them. 
2) I went there personally to take these photographs to share with you so that you could see with your own eyes the devastation and I was in fear of my safety until the moment I left.
3) These townhouses were once the affordable employee housing for Youngstown Sheet and Tube, they are now dilapidated ruins, the jobs having moved out of the country long ago leaving the city devastated and the people hopeless and in despair.
4) Now they are left in ruins after years of poor policies and the passage of NAFTA decimated the industrial states like Ohio.
In their hopelessness and despair and unable to escape due to financial limitations people began to find ways to escape their misery and to cope with their crummy lives, many with drugs and alcohol.
6) I was shocked to see people and even children entering and leaving these ruins carrying in water jugs and emptying toiletry buckets on the ground, they have no plumbing facilities. They asked not to be photographed and I honored their wishes.
7) One unit is totally abandoned and destroyed beyond recognition and the attached unit right next door with the boarded up windows is occupied by families. It's below third world country living conditions and not something we should EVER see in the United States.
8) I spoke with a few of the residents there who talked about the crime, drugs and difficulties they face living every day. One resident named "Jake" told me, "People get murdered around here all the time, me I'm not afraid of dying, I already live in hell", I think Jake is right
9) This is the 13th Congressional district in Ohio represented by democrat congressman Tim Ryan.
