Democrats should take YES for an answer: if the position of the Senate GOP is that any new evidence must be put into new articles of impeachment or the Senate won't consider it—as existing articles must be contained within their four corners—let's start a NEW impeachment inquiry.
Anyone who's ever dealt with a wholly disingenuous negotiating partner knows the best way to deal with it, paradoxically, is to take them at their word and make them eat forever the irrational, principle-free process they're advocating. So let's do ANOTHER impeachment RIGHT NOW.

And then, after passing a NEW article of impeachment for EVERY new piece of evidence that's come out [every couple days since the impeachment vote], I'd go to media each day and say, "We could've all been *adults*, but we had to do this like a******s because they INSISTED on it."
My point: Democrats aren't helpless, and it's not enough to point out with rhetoric or emotion that what Republicans are doing is counter to their oaths AND counter to logic. You need to actually put into the world a situation every bit as RIDICULOUS as what the GOP is demanding.

BTW, at a MINIMUM the folks who can be doing this rhetorically on a day-in/day-out basis are folks in media. Why aren't they on TV pointing out the natural implications of the fully batshit insane process the Republicans are insisting on at this moment of urgency and seriousness?
NOTE: The GOP is saying that if Zelensky suddenly revealed Trump took him into a room on July 31 and held a gun to his head and threatened to pull the trigger if he didn't order a Biden probe, it COULDN'T BE CONSIDERED because we learned about it AFTER the articles were voted on.
