Parnas has significant fear of @TheJusticeDept and AG Barr, Maddow says, thinks safer to get out what he knows than have Barr et al know what he knows.
A lot of rich people in Ukraine have their own agenda, Parnas tells Maddow. They use us here
Lutsenko wanted rid of Amb. Yovanovitch for his own reasons, Maddow asks, Parnas agrees. Shokin was against her too, for his own reasons. But Parnas notes it’s funny, Lutsenko and Shokin don’t like each other.
Lutsenko email makes clear, if they (Parnas, Giuliani et al), don’t get rid of Amb. Yovanovitch, he won’t provide the allegations against Biden.
Rick Perry called Rudy on the way to Zelensky inauguration in Ukraine in May to ask him what to discuss, Parnas tells Maddow.
Perry called Giuliani after inauguration, says he talked to Zelensky, and he would do it. (announce investigations).
Parnas says the Ukrainians multiple times said they would announce corruption investigations, then walk it back. Giuliani would fume they don’t want corruption investigations, it had to be of Biden.
In Vienna, working w Toensing and DiGenovo on Firtash case, when got Comgressional subpoena, Parnas tells Maddow. Toensing says call Giuliani, Giuliani says call John Dowd. Dowd eventually says can’t rep you because I was president’s attorney, Sekulow says may have conflict of
interest, unless president waives it. Parnas tells Dowd to ask for that, Sekulow cokes back and authorizes Dowd to rep him.
Parnas says he was advised by Dowd not to cooperate with congressional investigatiom. Because he worked for Toensing, because he worked for Giuliani, because Giuliani worked for the president, he had “3 way privilege.” Pat Cipollone wd tell Congress all privileged, won’t provide
Parnas says he met with Dowd and Kevin Downing when he was arrested and in prison before he made bail, felt they were telling him to keep quiet to protect the president (not himself), threw them out.
Trump tried to fire Yovanovitch several times and it didn’t work, Parnas tells Maddow. Parnas says Trump even yelled at his then aide Madeleine Westerhout to fire her and she said she couldn’t do that.
Parnas says, at dinner at Trump hotel in spring 2018), he told Trump (falsely) Yovanovitch was bad mouthing him and said he would be impeached. Trump turned to aide, DiStefano, and said, fire her. (dinner was april 30, 2018). said action was awaiting pompeo being sworn in
But timeline is strange. Biden wasn’t candidate yet. So who was pressing Parnas in spring of 2018 to get Yovanovitch fired?
(Firtash? the Russians?)
Manafort?
