I have to interject with a few things.

1. Marie Yovanovitch did not support the new regime. She supported Petro Poroshenko and his allies.

2. She was not widely respected in Ukraine. The new regime could not stand Yovanovitch and viewed her to be a meddler in domestic affairs.
Further, I find it wholly unbelievable that Reuters and AP do not know that this is the truth about Marie Yovanovitch in Ukraine.

It is far more likely they are complicit in deceiving the American people. For lack of a better word, they're in on this scam.
For those who doubt what I'm saying about Marie Yovanovitch's true reputation in Ukraine, just reread the transcript between Zelensky and Trump from July.

He, like most anti-corruption reformers in the new regime, cannot stand the woman. She was a meddler who violated Geneva.
One last thing...

Yuriy Lutsenko didn't recant the accusation Marie Yovanovitch gave him a "do not prosecute list".

Press secretary Larysa Sargan cited “translation challenges” and while no physical list existed, the conversation took place.

Lutsenko repeatedly reaffirmed it.
Now, we can choose whether to believe Yuriy Lutsenko or not. But to say he "recanted" the allegation Marie Yovanovitch came to him with a "do not prosecute list", is simply untrue.

He has not recanted. Only clarified there was no actual list. She just rattled off names.
Given everything we've learned about Marie Yovanovitch, this article held up rather well.

A series of negative, well-sourced reports that are not factually inaccurate but rather simply unflattering accounts of behavior, is not a "smear campaign".
