There’s a reason there are so many documentary series about missing women. Because women & girls go missing & are killed all the time & basically it’s not a thing b/c (shrug). Native women. Women in Ohio. Arkansas. Everywhere.

It’s a goddamn disaster that no one wants to discuss
So many easy things to do. Can someone paying $100mil for political ads instead create a database from backlogged/untested rape kits so serial predators can be catalogued and convicted? Can we stop calling it “domestic” violence as if it’s a lesser, ok-ish crime?
If there was a national commission to report on missing women and girls, it would be devastating. It’s a whole layer of crime we don’t want to confront in our society.
