Here's an interesting story. Way back in 1955 a mysterious Monk appeared in Faizabad in UP who was allegedly believed to be Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose in hiding and was better known as Gumnami Baba. One of his close friends was Ved Rattan Mohan, an Industrialist from UP. 
Ved Rattan Mohan was the Industrialist owning the legendary Mohan Meakin brand and manufactured Spirits in Ghaziabad.
It's believed that somewhere in the 60s he formulated the Famous Dark Rum which would become the Signature drink of Generations to come. And he named it after his Friend and Idol, Netaji Bose hiding as a Monk. Thus was born #OldMonk
There's truth in this Legend or this could be Folklore and Hearsay. But remember one thing that everytime you raise a toast with this legendary Rum you're actually raising one in Honour of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose #SubhashChandraBoseJayanti
