For him this is a Muslim exclusive fight. TV channels and govt propagandists also would like us to believe the same.
His problem with Jamia Coord Committee is that it's not a Muslim-exclusive club. He laughs at the idea of an all-inclusive, citizens protest.

He complains about being denied stage at Shaheen Bagh for his "views". No wonder Shaheen Bagh protesters cut off ties with him, when tried to turn into a Muslim exclusive club.

Jamia Coord Committee, Shaheen Bagh and all the countrywide protests are diagonally opposite of what Sharjeel Imam would want them to be.
For him this fight is not to save the Constitution. This is not the fight for idea of India as we know it. He is on his own tangent. He excludes, he mocks, he scoffs at the ideas that form the bedrock of the countrywide protests we are seeing.
Radhika Vemula and Sairo Bano hoisting national flag alongwith dadis at Shaheen Bagh, The 600-km human chain in Kerala, The Sikhs running langars at the protest sites, professionals, students, actors all joining for the idea of India are not Sharjeel's ideas of protest.
TV and govt propagandists have run away with one short clip about Assam. Lets be honest, he is talking of a blockade, not CUTTING off or separating Assam and Northeast from India. This can be termed delusional at best.
He is being projected as the "mastermind" of the protests. The new primetime poster boy of the nefarious "Tukde Tukde" propaganda of the regime. Its a Umar Khalid and Kanhaiya episode redux.
Listening to his full speech. It's a rant of a stupid and deluded man. And stupidity and delusion is not sedition. Its just stupidity and delusion.
